This year's conference, themed "New Horizons in Trade: Co-creating Growth ∙ Synergizing for Win-Win", brings together industry representatives from around the world to explore trends and opportunities in logistics, shipping and air transport. The content focuses on three major trends: supply chain transformation and emerging market opportunities, sustainable development and green energy, and innovative technologies.

In recent years, global enterprises have faced challenges such as geopolitical tensions, changes in global tariffs, and continuous disruptions in supply chains. At the session titled "Insight into the New Era of Global Trade and Leading Business Growth", Brian Bourke, the Global Chief Commercial Officer of SEKO Logistics, said, "When it comes to helping enterprises deal with these challenges, the industry focuses on building a resilient and diversified supply chain. However, it must be said that when unexpected situations occur, the partnerships you have established will be the most important."

At the same session, Henri Le Gouis, Executive Vice President of GEODIS Global Forwarding, also stated: "Dealing with challenges actually means reflecting problems to the right people at critical moments. We need to quickly pass the problems to the right people to find the correct solutions. And we must act quickly - we need those who can make the right decisions and find the most suitable people even in the face of unexpected events. Choosing a partner who can still propose solutions in difficult times is of vital importance."

The world is committed to achieving net-zero emissions, and green transformation has become the key to realizing sustainable development. At the "Green Energy Forum: Fuels, Freight, and the Path to Net Zero" held on the second day of the conference, suppliers and logistics companies shared how they are using innovative technologies to implement sustainable development strategies and align with global policies to reduce their carbon footprint and accelerate the journey towards net zero. Among them, James Laybourn, Director of DNV Energy Systems' Asia-Pacific business unit, shared: "We are exploring various fuel options, including alternative fuels, diesel, and various fuels used in ships. Next, we must clarify the priorities and formulate specific strategies to drive the energy transition."

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government is actively promoting the development of the low-altitude economy. During the "New Engine of Low-altitude Economy: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) Freight Redefining the Air Transport Landscape" special session on the first day of the conference, the latest breakthroughs in unmanned freight in terms of design, automation, and AI-driven logistics systems were deeply shared. Bobby Healy, CEO and founder of Manna, said, "Finding a country that is friendly to drone regulations has always been a challenge. Although Europe has established standards and regulations for the low-altitude domain, they have not yet been fully implemented in all countries."

Liu Zhihong, Chief Technology Officer of SF Express (Hong Kong) Limited, shared: "Firstly, we should create an efficient and high-value investment space to bring the greatest benefits to the world, and it must be integrated with the logistics network. Secondly, the airspace in the Greater Bay Area is very busy, especially in Hong Kong. The industry should share resources instead of simply relying on them, especially in cross-border logistics. Thirdly, we should establish a standard framework, and Hong Kong is a very good competitive platform."

This year's conference also features a "Digital Transformation Seminar: AI Practices and Applications in Supply Chain", where Wu Dahan, Supply Director of Reckitt Benckiser (Hong Kong and Taiwan), delivered a speech and presented multiple application cases and the planning process of supply chain automation. The "Youth Development Workshop" explores the development trends, career prospects, and continuous value-added strategies of the logistics industry and supply chain management, helping the industry attract new impetus.

This year's ALMAC exhibition features over 90 exhibitors and includes zones such as air transport, low-altitude economy, supply chain management and logistics services, maritime and port services, and technology. Among them, the low-altitude economy zone, which is held for the first time, showcases the world's leading low-altitude logistics technology solutions, further promoting strategic cooperation and business development.

The 2025 Hong Kong Logistics Rising Star Awards ceremony, initiated by the Transport and Logistics Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in the "Modern Logistics Development Action Plan", was held on the second day of the conference. The event aimed to recognize young logistics talents who have made outstanding contributions and demonstrated exceptional potential in areas such as innovation, high-end, smart and green logistics.
