Major Enterprises Are Accelerating Their Efforts To Seize The Aviation Logistics Market.
Major enterprises are accelerating their efforts to seize the aviation logistics market.

Since the beginning of this year, the overall situation of China's air cargo transportation has continued to improve, and the business scale has been expanding. According to data from the Civil Aviation Administration, from January to November, the industry completed a cargo and mail transportation volume of 92.43 million tons, with a year-on-year growth of 13.6%. Among them, the cargo and mail transportation volume on international routes increased by 21.8% year-on-year, becoming the main driving force for the relatively rapid growth of the air cargo market.
Yuan Shuai, the deputy secretary-general of the Zhongguancun Internet of Things Industry Alliance, told reporters that in recent years, the consumption structure of residents has continued to improve, which has driven the rapid development of cross-border e-commerce and fresh food cold chain. The increased demand for air transportation capacity has also led to the growth of the international freight market.
The General Administration of Customs' data released this month shows that in the first 11 months of this year, China's exports and imports reached 24.46 trillion yuan and 16.75 trillion yuan respectively, with year-on-year growth rates of 6.2% and 0.2%. Additionally, during the peak season for winter sports in the Northern Hemisphere, since the second half of the year, the growth rates of China's exports of ice skating equipment to Central and Eastern Europe and of ski suits exported to the North American market have both exceeded double digits.
Industry insiders believe that the continuous growth in demand for air logistics is also closely related to the changes in the maritime shipping market. A number of manufacturers that have high requirements for transportation flexibility and timeliness have changed their export transportation methods, opting for air transportation or the China-Europe Railway Express, in order to address the problem of rising shipping costs.

The rapid growth of air freight volume is attributed to the continuous expansion of the air freight route network. According to data from the Civil Aviation Administration, in the first 11 months of this year, China's freight flights have continued to increase. Currently, it has connected 70 countries and 170 cities, a 8-country and 27-city increase compared to last year. The average weekly flight volume has increased by 15.7% compared to last year. New consumption models such as live streaming and instant retail have developed rapidly, providing an important source for the stable demand for air freight.
Industry insiders believe that in the context of rapid growth in the international market, a self-owned aviation transportation network will be the key to future industry competition. Recently, major domestic express delivery companies have all intensified their efforts to expand the international air logistics market.
According to the official WeChat account of SF Holdings Co., Ltd., SF Middle East recently signed a cooperation agreement with the core logistics platform Asyad Group of the Oman government at the headquarters of Asyad in Oman. The two parties will carry out closer cooperation in areas such as cross-border transportation, supply chain collaboration, regional delivery networks, and logistics innovation. This signing marks a comprehensive upgrade of the cooperation between the two parties in cross-border e-commerce logistics and comprehensive transportation, and also indicates that the in-depth collaboration between the two major logistics enterprises between China and Oman has entered a new stage.
China International Cargo Airlines Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Cargo Airlines") recently stated in an interview with an institution that in 2025, the company will actively optimize its capacity structure. In the first half of the year, it successively launched several cargo flight routes such as Chengdu-Dubai, Chengdu-Frankfurt, Chengdu-Amsterdam, Shanghai-Hanoi, etc. In the second half of the year, it also launched routes such as Chengdu-Glasgow and Chengdu-Pudong. This will further enhance the resilience of the supply chain. In the long term, China Cargo Airlines will serve the innovative growth of China's manufacturing industry, the industrial and consumption upgrading, continuously expand its route network layout, strengthen communication and collaboration with upstream and downstream partners, and help further improve the scale and quality of China's logistics imports and exports.
Zhi Peiyuan, an enterprise mentor at the School of Management of China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), told the reporter that China's air logistics industry is currently in a period of rapid development. Enterprises should deepen the layout of their route networks, especially accelerating the development of international routes; increase investment in logistics technological innovation, and enhance operational efficiency and service quality through the application of Internet of Things and big data technologies, in order to strengthen their competitiveness and seize the development opportunities of the industry.
