Yesterday, the China (Xinjiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange and High Quality Development Conference of the 12th Division Block in Urumqi was held in Urumqi. During the event, the "Lubing Multimodal Transport Hub Center" was unveiled and established, and the first railway sea multimodal transport freight train was shipped, marking the acceleration of the construction of the "east-west mutual aid, land sea and domestic and foreign linkage" logistics corridor in Lujiang. Shandong Expressway Group took the initiative to serve the integrated development of Lubing to a new level.
The "Lubing Multimodal Transport Hub Center" is licensed by the Commerce Bureau of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and is located in the Shandong Expressway Xinjiang International Logistics Industry Park and the Xinjiang Branch of the SCO Demonstration Zone. It is adjacent to Urumqi West Station, Container Center Station, Airport Area, and Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and is rooted in the most important logistics industry gathering area in Xinjiang. The first phase of the project covers an area of 535 mu. It will build three special railway lines, four high standard warehouses, customs supervision areas and comprehensive service buildings, etc., which will form a main logistics channel connecting east and west with the existing multimodal transport hub network of Shandong Expressway Group in Shandong Province and radiating home and abroad. At the same time, it will further promote domestic and international trade logistics business between Shandong and Xinjiang and the countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road" by virtue of the policy linkage advantages of "Shanghe Economic and Trade Demonstration Zone" and "China (Xinjiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone".
At the event, the first railway sea multimodal freight train, loaded with 50 containers of tomato sauce goods, slowly departed from the "Lubing Multimodal Transport Hub" and set sail through Tianjin Port. The first train adopts the "one box system" transportation mode, where containers are transferred between different transportation modes without changing containers midway or opening the boxes throughout the journey, achieving "one box to the end" and achieving faster transportation time and lower logistics costs.
Next, Shandong Expressway Group will take advantage of the development of China (Xinjiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone, deeply integrate into the overall cooperation between Shandong and Xinjiang, and carry out park operation and management with high standards and high quality.
