Henan Province, China adds a new logistics engine
After the completion of the project, this place will become a benchmark for SF Express's smart logistics nationwide. "On June 28th, at the groundbreaking ceremony of the SF Express Zhongyuan Multimodal Transport International Hub project in the northern part of Zhengzhou Airport Economic Comprehensive Experimental Zone, the relevant person in charge of SF Express introduced it to reporters.
Entering the construction site, I saw that the project site had been leveled, various construction vehicles were ready to go, and the construction personnel were in high spirits. With the sound of the "start of work" order, the construction vehicles rang out in unison, and the project officially began construction.
As the "highlight" of the concentrated construction of major projects in the province in the second quarter of 2025, the total investment of this project is about 1.5 billion yuan, covering an area of 490 acres, and will be constructed in two phases. One phase of the investment exceeds 1 billion yuan, with a construction area of 225000 square meters, mainly constructing functional centers such as smart logistics and warehousing, multimodal transportation, regional hubs, and logistics drone applications.
It is reported that the project has three significant features: introducing cutting-edge equipment such as circular sorting machines and ISC automatic sorting systems, integrating AGV robots, robotic arms, and AI algorithms, and creating a benchmark for intelligent logistics; Build an ecological loop of "intelligent warehousing+multimodal transport+low altitude transport" and create a new model of multimodal transport; Build the largest regional international hub center (land transportation) of SF Express in China, and enhance the new level of international hub. After the project is put into operation, it is expected that the annual revenue will exceed 6 billion yuan, driving employment of more than 3000 people and injecting strong momentum into regional economic development.

In recent years, under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, Zhengzhou Airport has continuously improved its transportation network, accelerated the construction of a multimodal transport system, created a logistics cost reduction and efficiency improvement pilot zone, increased financing support for logistics enterprises, and the hub economy has flourished. Nowadays, over 3 million square meters of high standard warehousing have sprung up, with more than 400 logistics companies such as Zhongtong, Yunda, Jitu, and Cainiao Network "settling down" here. More than 50 top projects, including the Super Fusion Global Spare Parts Center and the China Post Aviation Hub Project, have successively landed, forming four major industrial clusters: aviation logistics, express logistics, e-commerce logistics, and warehousing logistics.
The industrial and logistics lines of these enterprises are closely intertwined like neural networks, jointly building an intelligent logistics system covering the world.
