Cross border e-commerce is rapidly developing, and Hunchun City in Jilin Province is gradually becoming an international logistics distribution center in Northeast Asia
With the rapid development of cross-border e-commerce business, the Chinese border city of Hunchun in Jilin has gradually developed into an international logistics distribution center in Northeast Asia. Chinese mobile phones, daily necessities, Japanese gaming equipment, Korean kitchen appliances and other goods are gathered here and sold to the global market.
The reporter recently visited and learned that the above changes are due to the upgrade of Hunchun Export Processing Zone to Hunchun Comprehensive Bonded Zone in 2019. In 2018, the import and export volume of cross-border e-commerce in Hunchun was only about 40 million yuan (RMB), which surged to 350 million yuan in 2019. In the first five months of this year, this data is expected to reach 2.8 billion yuan.
At the Hunchun Cross border E-commerce Bonded Distribution Center, which covers an area of 24000 square meters, goods from various countries are constantly entering the warehouse, and the staff ships 30000 to 40000 shipments per day. Different colors of packages such as red, yellow, blue, etc. represent different modes of transportation, but no matter which method is used, there is no need to change the waybill. This one to one shipping method ensures that the goods will be delivered to consumers in about a week.

Chinese mobile phones and daily necessities are very popular overseas, "said Yan Yuchen, the general manager of Hunchun Yitongtong E-commerce Co., Ltd. The company has only been established for more than two years and has also set up distribution centers in Shenzhen and Ningbo, responsible for collecting goods from across the country." Our business volume has grown astonishingly. Since the beginning of this year, the total import and export volume of cross-border e-commerce has exceeded 70 million yuan, and there is still a lot of room for development in overseas markets
This year, the cross-border e-commerce border stocking warehouse in Hunchun Comprehensive Bonded Zone has been put into use, and foreign e-commerce platform merchants have settled in to carry out high-value commodity stocking business. In addition, Hunchun Comprehensive Bonded Zone has also opened cross-border e-commerce "1210" export business, with an export list of over 40000 tickets and a value of over 36 million yuan in the first quarter.
Li Jinhai, the person in charge of cross-border e-commerce business in Hunchun Comprehensive Bonded Zone, stated that as the forefront of Jilin's opening-up to the outside world, Hunchun is deepening cooperation with domestic and foreign e-commerce platforms, cultivating and introducing a number of cross-border e-commerce platform enterprises, continuously enriching the variety of imported goods, and striving to build a cross-border e-commerce complex that "buys globally and sells globally".
