In the first four months of this year, the total import and export value of China's goods trade increased by 2.4% year-on-year, continuing to maintain steady growth. The expansion range exceeding 50% is the "new answer" of the open economy presented by the China Logistics Business Total Index, New Order Index, and Inventory Turnover Index in April this year. In the process of global industrial chain restructuring, the total logistics business index in western China has maintained significant growth, becoming a vivid epitome of China's expansion of high-level opening-up to the outside world.

 

Despite factors such as the slowdown in supply and demand in the bulk market and the weakening of the "export rush" effect in international trade, the overall logistics business index in the western region still showed significant month on month growth.

At the end of April, Kapoklog Logistics customers walked into the operation dispatching center of the new western land and sea channel and saw that the data such as overseas warehouse distribution, freight order number, and the total volume of international railway containers were being updated in real time.

Wang Yihua, General Manager of the International Logistics Division and Port and Shipping Logistics Division of Chongqing Logistics Group, told reporters that the company is accelerating the expansion of its overseas warehouse network in Southeast Asia and shifting its service industry chain to the forefront; Build a "four directional" international logistics channel for the southeast, northwest, and southeast, providing diversified logistics path support for the industrial chain. At the same time, digital technology further improves efficiency. By building a "Chongqing Car Going Global" roll on/roll off shipping public service platform and transforming into a "supply chain service provider", enterprises have gradually built a more resilient and elastic supply chain system.

 

 

The continuous establishment of a solid foundation for high-level opening up to the outside world is not only due to the synergistic effect of the industrial chain formed by international production capacity cooperation, but also benefited from the continuous cost reduction and efficiency improvement of cross-border logistics channels. Taking the China Laos Thailand railway intermodal transportation as an example, the current transportation time has been shortened from 9 days to less than 5 days, and the cost has been reduced by nearly one-third. Moreover, the transportation is scheduled and fixed, with strong predictability and controllable costs. This is highly attractive for companies with high transportation efficiency requirements, such as electronic product manufacturers.

 

The reporter observed that the pace of Chinese enterprises actively integrating into the global market is becoming increasingly solid. By building flexible layout strategies, complete industrial chains, and diversified product structures, enterprises have established risk diversification mechanisms while maintaining international competitiveness.

In addition, the rich policy toolbox has injected momentum into opening up to the outside world. A series of policy tools have been introduced successively, including the tax rebate policy at the port of departure, channel operation support funds, a 1 billion yuan "foreign trade enterprise risk compensation fund pool", supply chain finance loans with lower annual interest rates, exchange rate hedging tool subsidies, and the "two-step declaration" model of customs.

Along with the upward growth of cross-border logistics, building a more resilient global distribution network has become a focus of attention for enterprises.

 

According to the general manager of Kapoklog Logistics Logistics Co., Ltd., in October last year, the enterprise launched the "Asia Europe Express" (ASEAN Express) product, realizing the transportation mode of "one entrustment, one payment, one box to the end", connecting the China Europe Express with the new land and sea channel, and running one train every week. After the goods are packed from ASEAN countries, they are directly shipped to Europe via Chongqing without the need for container exchange. At the same time, it has also developed trans inland sea transportation products. The goods are extended to Europe through Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye, with higher transportation efficiency.

Kapoklog Logistics' domestic logistics service is focusing on developing the Sichuan Chongqing Xinjiang sea passage, and expanding to Central Asia, West Asia and Europe. The relevant person in charge of the enterprise said that the orders sent to Central Asia and the "the Belt and Road" countries continued to increase. The head of another cross-border e-commerce company stated that stable cooperative relationships have been established with enterprises from countries such as France, Switzerland, Australia, and New Zealand.

 

Zhang Wenlong, General Manager of Youhu Automobile, introduced that they are actively establishing overseas marketing companies in Cambodia in Southeast Asia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in Central Asia, Dubai in the Middle East, Mexico in South America, and some countries in Africa, accelerating the formation of a "online+offline" synchronized foreign trade comprehensive service system.

 

Currently, relying on diversified layout and continuously expanding the "friend circle" of foreign trade, the dependence of enterprises on a single market is significantly reduced. The pattern of "linkage between land, sea, and domestic, and mutual assistance between the east and the west" of opening up to the outside world is deepening, and Chinese brands are crossing mountains and seas to connect with the world, writing a new chapter of high-level opening up to the outside world.
