The application process of the conformity assessment program SONCAP of the Nigerian standards organization is as follows:

PC (product certificate) application process

First step

The exporter submits the completed product registration certificate application form RFPC (request for SONCAP product certificate), test report, product picture, logo and other relevant documents;

Step 2

WSCT certificate issuing center reviews documents;

Step 3

After passing the review, WSCT confirms the quotation and issues a quotation;

Step 4

The customer confirms the payment;

Step 5

WSCT issues registration certificate PC. (importers can apply for form m to the trade authority in Nigeria with PC)

Application process of batch product conformity certificate SC (SONCAP certificate)

First step

The exporter obtains form M number from the importer;

Step 2

The exporter submits the completed batch certificate application form rfsc (request for SONCAP certificate), final commercial invoice, test report, product picture and identification and other relevant documents;

Step 3

WSCT certificate issuing center reviews documents; WSCT will determine the feasible implementation plan and applicable standards for product conformity assessment under the plan; If further sampling test is required, WSCT will coordinate sampling and implement laboratory test;

Step 4

After completing the above steps, WSCT will arrange on-site inspection; If the goods are transported by sea in a whole container, they need to be supervised;

Step 5

After the on-site inspection, the exporter shall submit the final documents (commercial invoice and packing list) to WSCT for reference;

Step 6

The exporter completes the certification fee payment, and WSCT issues the batch certificate SC.

PC fee of product registration certificate (the following fee does not include 6% VAT)

PC certificate route a: the product is not registered, that is, batch inspection

PC certificate route B: product registration

PC certificate route C: product form approval certificate (only for manufacturers)
