Formaldehyde detection of wood products

Formaldehyde is a colorless gas with strong pungent odor. It has a negative impact on human health. Long term exposure to low-dose formaldehyde will cause chronic respiratory diseases, menstrual disorders in women, pregnancy syndrome, decreased physique of newborns, chromosomal abnormalities, and even nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The harm of formaldehyde is that it can coagulate proteins and cause cancer. The excessive content of free formaldehyde is a factor that cannot be ignored. The source of formaldehyde in white latex products is mainly free formaldehyde left in the glue during synthesis, which is not fully reacted, or added to the adhesive as adjuvant, preservative and bonding agent, thus causing the free formaldehyde to exceed the standard.
